Park West Real Estate Market Snapshot
HIGH RISES • PROXIMITY TO PARK & LAKE • CONDOS FOR SALE • MID-RISE BUILDINGS
Given its proximity to Lincoln Park’s namesake park and Lake Michigan, elevated views are highly sought after in Park West. This is reflected in the real estate inventory of the neighborhood. Condos for sale in the area can largely be found in high rises, which offer lake and/or city views in addition to amenities like 24-hour doormen, rooftop pools and decks, and floor-to-ceiling windows. A majority of the condos for sale are one- and two-bedroom units.
Due to the concentration of high rise real estate in the area, assessment fees for condos in the Park West neighborhood tend to be on the higher end, often upwards of $400. A number of the high rises in Park West were built in the 1960s and 1970s, with a mix of rehabbed and updated condos.
Mid-rise buildings with condos for sale are also among the real estate choices in the area. These are generally modern brick buildings or newer construction properties, some having elevators and/or courtyards. They offer more square footage and are suitable for families looking to buy a home in this east Lincoln Park neighborhood because of its location, but needing more space for storage and living.
