The homes and buildings that line The McCormick Row House District, Armitage-Halsted district, the Fremont Row House district, and the Bissell Street Row House district date back to the 1800s and are often a draw for homebuyers looking to buy a home in a neighborhood with history, charm and traditional aesthetics.
The community area will also undergo further modernization with the forthcoming Lincoln Yards development, to be located on the southwest side of the neighborhood closest to the Chicago River. The 14.5 million square foot site will include a mix of commercial, residential, office and hotel space.
