Wrightwood Neighbors comprises the section of Lincoln Park that is between Halsted St to the east, Southport Ave to the west, Fullerton Ave to the south and Diversey Ave to the north. Its eastern border is about one mile from Chicago’s lakefront trail. The area also forms the northern portion of Depaul University’s Lincoln Park campus.

The zip code for Wrightwood Neighbors is 60614 and it has community areas that are within the 32nd Ward and others that are in the 43rd Ward. 

Chicago’s elevated trains are a feature of the neighborhood crossing Diversey Ave and Fullerton Ave along Sheffield. The Diversey station is serviced by both the Brown and Purple Line and sits at the northern border of the neighborhood. The Fullerton CTA station is serviced by the Brown, Purple and Red line and is located on the southeast border of the area. 

Wrightwood Neighbors can also be reached via the following bus routes: #74 Fullerton, #76 Diversey, #8 Halsted, and the #11 Lincoln.

Those traveling by vehicle have easy access to Lake Shore Drive at Fullerton Parkway and Diversey, and the nearest entrance ramp to the 90/94 expressway is less than three miles west off of Fullerton Ave and Western Ave.

From family-owned restaurants with decades in the neighborhood, to newer, hip, creative and chic dining options, Wrightwood Neighbors has a variety of places to satisfy any palette.

  • Broken English Tacos (2576 N Lincoln Ave) one of three locations; the ambiance is fun like the restaurant’s name. Check out the pork belly al pastor tacos.

  • Pat’s Pizza and Ristorante (2679 N Lincoln Ave) family owned pizzeria that serves some of the best Chicago thin-style tavern pizza.

  • Prost! (2566 N Lincoln Ave) vibrant German beer hall.

  • Red Lion Pub (2446 N Lincoln Ave) An English pub with dark oak interior, specialty drafts and a collection of British history and literature.

Neighborhood amenities are quite easy to come by in Wrightwood Neighbors, thanks in large part to its location and proximity to DePaul University. There are a multitude of shops, restaurants, bars and businesses in this small section of Lincoln Park that cater both to the residents of the area and the student population. Whole Foods (959 W Fullerton Ave) is the large grocer in the heart of the neighborhood. Just to the east of the northeastern border of the community area is a Trader Joe’s located at 667 W Diversey Ave. 

There are four small parks dispersed throughout the neighborhood including Jonquil Park (1001 W Wrightwood Ave), the largest of the four, Supera Park (2522 N Racine Ave), Julia Porter Park (N Halsted St & W Fullerton Pkwy), and for the beloved furry four-legged friends there’s Wiggley Field Dog Park (2645 N Sheffield Ave).

For the younger students who are not quite at college age, there are a few public schools in the area including Agassiz Elementary School (2851 N Seminary) and Louisa May Alcott Elementary School (2625 N Orchard), which both serve students in grades K-8, and Lincoln Park High School (2001 N Orchard Street).

Students also have the Chicago Public Library Lincoln Park branch (1150 W Fullerton Ave) nearby as a resource.
